- Two tablespoons salt
- One tablespoon garlic powder
- One teaspoon each of the following:
- Basil
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Onion powder
- Red cayenne pepper
- Rosemary
- Sage
- Thyme
- Turmeric
This seasoning blend base is the starter in all of my soups, marinades, some sauces and dry rubs. I make a big batch ahead of time and store with my other dry spices.
Depending on what dish I want to make determines what I add to this seasoning base.
- Spanish dishes: chili, cilantro, cumin or red pepper
- Asian dishes: saffron, cinnamon, or Star anise
- Italian dishes: oregano or coriander
